Transparency

Provide real-time knowledge of market conditions
Capture and explain all key decision making metrics
Sharing clear analytical data for effective project execution
Establishing clear and understandable expectations early on in the relationship
Providing an organized step-by-step understanding of the building and development process
Efficiency
At McDevCo, Our Product is Our Process. We run all of our projects in two phases.
Phase 1: Pre-Construction
Also known as ‘pre-con’. During this phase, we will focus on key points to ensure a smooth construction phase. The more planning we do during pre-con, the easier the construction phase will be for everyone.
This planning includes: cost estimating, value engineering, construction phasing and developing a schedule, constructibility review, design review meetings with you and your entire team, and receiving input from key subcontractors with regards to building systems and means and methods of construction.
The goal is that by the end of Pre-Con, selections have been made, pricing and lead times will be known, and major scopes will be ready for subcontract.
Phase 2: Construction
Once we get through pre-con and the permit is is ready to be applied for, we move into the Construction phase. By this point, we have developed a full and complete budget and schedule for your project. We are ready to pull the permit, sign subcontracts and order materials!
Your project is underway!
Ian McCormick
Ian holds a International Code Council Class A certification, which allows him to build Residential and Commercial projects. He began his construction career as both a framer and electrical apprentice while earning a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management at Colorado State University. He also has an MBA with a concentration in finance from the University of Colorado.
His time working with commercial builders McCarthy Building Companies and Swinerton Builders set him up with the knowledge, expertise, and experience needed to smoothly execute many different types of construction projects. Ian has managed and completed over $600MM of work in place.
After moving to the Western Slope and purchasing a property, Ian realized that by starting his own company, he could apply the complex problem solving skills of the commercial construction world to building beautiful residential homes in the Telluride area.
His passion is leading homeowners through the process of building a home they will still love 30 years from the day they move in.
Sarah McCormick
Sarah’s entire professional career had revolved around horses until she moved to Colorado and took a job with HomeAdvisor in their Sales department. After spending a year in Sales, Sarah moved on to the Homeowner Customer Care division where she learned a whole new side of things. That’s when Sarah and Ian met.
Not long after meeting, they moved to the Western Slope to live a different way of life. After purchasing a property and having a hard time finding the right contractor to work with to build their home, Sarah and Ian decided to start McDevCo with the goal of providing a completely transparent process for building a new, custom home.
Sarah’s experience at HomeAdvisor has allowed her to bridge the communication gap between the Homeowner and the Contractor. Sarah has been able to really help the Homeowner understand the process and feel comfortable with the decisions they make.
“We really feel that with McDevCo, you’ll get a different level of customer service than you’ll expect to receive from a residential builder.”
